Other Information

Questions With OptiSize?

The huge digital data produced by digital pathology scanner devices (WSI) creates great costs in archiving. In addition to saving up to 50% in the storage system with resizing techniques, OptiSize provides speed and convenience in many stages, from transferring to archiving of data to fast file access to artificial intelligence studies.

It is a desktop licensed software, and after installing it on your computer, it automatically converts the image coming from any WSI scanner device to a small size and processes it without affecting the image quality. You can open and review images with any imaging software you use.

Where and by whom is OptiSize used?

OptiSize is a software developed specifically for Whole Slide Scanner users in pathology laboratories. All pathology laboratories, relevant technicians, physicians or assistants who use different scanner devices can use it.

How large can the files targeted for reduction be?

There is no size limit for files. All files from single-layer 500 MB to 9-layer 10 GB files can be processed with OptiSize.

In what format does OptiSize produce output?

With OptiSize, the newly resized image is printed in .tiff format and saved to the computer.

How long does the OptiSize resizing process take?

The file varies depending on the features of the device and computer on which the file was produced. For example; It reduces a .svs file with 99410 x 87649 (8.7 GigaPixels) pixel dimensions (1.1 GB on disk size) to 250 MB in 7.6 minutes (450 seconds).

How many pieces of data can OptiSize reduce at the same time?

OptiSize can size multiple WSI images simultaneously, depending on the computer's capabilities. It automatically saves the resized images to the system at the same time.

Are Z-Stacked WSI images sized in OptiSize?

Yes, the images are resized so as not to affect the diagnosis in each layer.

Does OptiSize support ICC Profile?

Yes, if there is an ICC profile in the original file, OptiSize will read this ICC profile data and add it to the resized image.

ICC Profile is defined in all Technomind software. In the OptiSize software, the sizing of the data is done using ICC Profile images.

How can we measure the quality of OptiSize software?

Quality control testing is performed after the WSI image is resized with the method called PSNR (Peak Signal Noise Ratio). In cases where the specified PSNR value is below, OptiSize cancels the WSI image resizing process in order not to deteriorate the image quality. Preserves the original image.

Which operating systems does OptiSize work with?

OptiSize sizer works on computers running Windows, Linux and Mac.
